Jin Xiangjun meets with Djibouti's Minister of Health

Jin Xiangjun, deputy secretary of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and governor of Shanxi Provincial Government, met with Djibouti's Minister of Health, Ahmed Robleh Abdilleh, and his delegation on Dec 5 in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.

During the meeting, Jin highlighted Shanxi's role as a major comprehensive energy base in China, emphasizing the province's efforts to advance a new energy system and modern industrial system. He noted Shanxi's active participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, its commitment to expanding international partnerships, and its goal of becoming a new beacon for inland opening-up.

Jin also underscored the longstanding friendship between Shanxi and Djibouti, which has resulted in significant achievements in medical and health cooperation. 

Jin proposed deepening cooperation in medical aid, hospital partnerships, and traditional medicine and expanding collaboration in trade and culture. He emphasized the importance of implementing the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to build a China-Africa community of health for all.

Minister Abdilleh expressed gratitude to Shanxi for its support in Djibouti's healthcare sector, commending the efforts of Shanxi's medical teams in enhancing the health of the Djiboutian citizens. He admired China's profound traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture and responded positively to Jin's cooperation proposals.

Abdilleh said he will act as a cultural ambassador for TCM, fostering deeper practical cooperation between Shanxi and Djibouti in medical technology, hospital management, and public health, thereby bringing greater health benefits to the people.
