On Nov 9, during the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, North China's Shanxi province held a meeting on cooperation in the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai.

The event brought together industry leaders to discuss and build consensus on cooperation in infrastructure construction, industrial advancement, application scenarios, brand building, talent development, strategic planning, fund attraction, and more with Shanxi.

This was the first low-altitude economic investment promotion activity launched by Shanxi's investment promotion department in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, aiming to promote the high-quality development of the province's low-altitude economy and accelerate the development of a demonstration province for general aviation.

In recent years, Shanxi has made promising progress in short-haul transportation, low-altitude tourism, agriculture and forestry protection, and aerial forest protection. Additionally, there is vast cooperation potential with developed regions like the Greater Bay Area in logistics, urban management, ecological governance, environmental protection testing, and emergency response in mining.

During the first three quarters of this year, Shanxi's total air travel and drone flight time reached approximately 350,000 hours, surpassing last year's total amount. The province ranked at the forefront in terms of short-haul air transport route density and artificial weather modification operations. The overall development of the low-altitude economy and the creation of an air transport demonstration province are both showing positive trends.

During the meeting, attendees expressed high expectations for the significant development potential and promising market prospects of Shanxi's low-altitude economy. They eagerly look forward to strengthening cooperation with Shanxi and exploring new development paths and models for the low-altitude economy.
