The Yungang Grottoes, located in Datong city, North China's Shanxi province, were originally built in 460 AD. They are carved into the mountainside and stretch 1,000 meters from east to west. The grottoes, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, took 150 years to create. The site has 45 main caves, 59,000 stone carvings, and is often referred to as a "History Book Engraved in Stone".

In the fifth episode, we follow Rees to the Yungang Grottoes, where we explore this treasure trove of diverse cultures. We will also visit one of the most famous caves, Cave 12. Commonly known as the Music Cave, here we can listen to a symphony in the stone.
