Shanxi athletes win gold at 2024 National Shooting Finals

The 2024 National Shooting Finals (Rifle and Pistol events) concluded at the Shanxi Shooting Archery Water Sports Center on Oct 27, with shooters Zhang Yifan and Zhao Nan from North China's Shanxi province clinching two gold medals for the team.
In the men's 10m Air Pistol final, Zhang competed against Paris Olympic champion Xie Yu and delivered a stable performance, securing the gold medal with a one-point advantage.
In the women's 25m Pistol final, Zhao and Xiong Yaxuan from the Jiangxi team were neck and neck. After a tie in the final round, they went through two additional rounds, with Zhao eventually securing the gold medal.
During the competition, Peng Xinlu and Ma Sihan from the Liaoxiang United Team set a new national record in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event with an outstanding score of 636.4 in the qualification round. Zhejiang athlete Wang Zhilin set a new national record in the Women's 10m Air Rifle event with a score of 255.0 in the final.
The hosting of this event not only tested the organizing capabilities of the Shanxi Shooting and Archery Water Sports Center but also significantly enhanced the center's event management capabilities through practical experience.
