The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council recently announced the latest list of "Double-hundred Enterprises" and "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Enterprises".
Eight provincial State-owned enterprises (SOEs) from North China's Shanxi province were selected as "Double-hundred Enterprises", while six were chosen as "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Enterprises".
The Shanxi SOEs selected as "Double-hundred Enterprises" include Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Group Co, Huayang New Material Technology Group Co, and Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Co.
The Shanxi SOEs chosen as "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Enterprises" include Shanxi Yangmei Chemical Machinery (Group) Co, Taiyuan Heavy Industry Transit Equipment Co, and Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Yuci Hydraulic Industry Co.
The "Double-hundred Enterprises" action for SOE reform was launched in August 2018, selecting over 100 central enterprise subsidiaries and local State-owned backbone enterprises to deepen comprehensive reforms.
Its goal is to create a group of leading forces in SOE reform with scientific governance structures, flexible and efficient operational mechanisms, and significantly enhanced innovation and market competitiveness.
The "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Enterprises" action, initiated in 2020, focuses on State-owned scientific and technological enterprises that need urgent reform and innovation to further promote market-oriented reform.
The action aims to explore innovation in corporate governance, market-based personnel selection, and incentive strengthening to create models of State-owned scientific and technological enterprise reform and cultivate pioneers in independent innovation.
