Shanxi showcased its overall image, advantageous resources, key industries, and cultural heritage with a dazzling display of 50 enterprises at the 21st China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit held in Nanning, Guangxi on Sept 24.

On the opening day, the province also hosted a Shanxi-Guangxi industry cooperation meeting, focusing on showcasing its achievements in cultivating key industrial chains and developing distinctive professional towns to seek cooperation opportunities.

At this year's expo, Shanxi set up two booths respectively located in Hall B1 – the national key strategic exhibition area – and Hall D15, which focuses on agriculture. The Shanxi booth in Hall B1 took advantage of the popularity of the game Black Myth: Wukong to immerse visitors in Shanxi's opening-up through videos, images, and three-dimensional models, with 24 participating companies highlighting five major advantages in intangible cultural heritage brands, specialty foods, modern medicine, new materials, and global services.

The Shanxi booth in Hall D15 centered around Shanxi's organic dry farming, featuring 26 companies specializing in Shanxi's distinctive apples, pears, dates, Chinese medicinal herbs, and miscellaneous grains. Through on-site tastings and live broadcasts, they showcased Shanxi's unique and high-quality agricultural products, promoting the province's unique palate.

Officials from the Department of Commerce of Shanxi Province said that Shanxi and Guangxi, as well as ASEAN countries, exhibit strong economic and trade complementarity and a high willingness to engage in trade cooperation. They hope that enterprises will use the government platform to actively expand cooperation in areas such as green low-carbon energy transformation, digital economy, and culture and tourism.
