The China (Shanxi)-Morocco (Casablanca) economic and trade cooperation promotion event was held in Morocco by the economic and trade delegation from North China's Shanxi province on Sept 23, showcasing the province's new achievements in transformation of development and opening-up.

During the event, officials from the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone introduced the province's advantageous industries and parks, while companies like Tianjin Dahua Ocean International Trade Co presented their own development situations and products.

Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Casablanca-Settat, the China Business Council of the Moroccan Entrepreneurs Association, and companies delivered speeches and presentations.

Li Haiyuan, president of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the visit presents an opportunity to advance the establishment of the China-Morocco Business Council, enhance the cooperation framework, explore collaboration opportunities, and strengthen economic and trade exchanges between the two sides.

He also encouraged more Shanxi enterprises to establish and expand their presence in Morocco, while inviting Moroccan businesses to set up operations in Shanxi, jointly creating a bright future for economic and trade cooperation.

Following the presentations and negotiations, the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade reached agreements and signed contracts with the Moroccan Entrepreneurs Association, Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co with Amitié Maroc-Chine Voyages, and Shanxi Chateau Rongzi Co with a Moroccan import-export trading company.
