The first event of the 2024 Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road (Foundry Special Session) organized by the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade kicked off in Turkiye on Sept 19.

During the event, Shanxi meticulously organized a series of activities showcasing the newfound vitality of its economic development and its fresh image of opening-up. The province's sincere promotion of win-win cooperation received enthusiastic responses from various sectors in Turkiye, cementing the two places' foundation for cooperation and yielding fruitful results.

At the international metallurgy, foundry, and casting comprehensive exhibition, the Shanxi exhibition area attracted significant attention. Local foundry enterprises warmly welcomed every visitor, engaging in discussions to enhance the visibility of Shanxi's casting products and corporate brands, fostering better understanding and mutual trust with local counterparts.

The China (Shanxi)-Turkiye (Istanbul) Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference was held on Sept 20. Over 100 Turkish business associations, enterprises, and institutions' leaders gathered to engage in discussions and explore cooperation opportunities with Shanxi.

Following negotiations, Shanxi and Turkiye reached a high level of consensus, establishing a solid cooperation foundation not only in the foundry industry but also in areas such as energy, resources, infrastructure, and tourism, promising broad prospects for collaboration.

Impressive results were achieved on-site, with Turkiye's Anatolian Businessmen Association and the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, as well as the Turkish Steel Producers Association and the Shanxi Foundry Industry Association, signing cooperation agreements.
