North China's Shanxi province gathered 20 enterprises to showcase new products, technologies, services, and application scenarios in the digital, cultural, and technological sectors at the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) on Sept 12.

The Shanxi exhibition area featured four sections, utilizing physical displays, interactive experiences, and video promotions to present Shanxi's image. The cultural export section drew significant attention, exhibiting the "Travel Shanxi with Wukong" route series, cultural activities, and service cases.

In the first half of 2024, Shanxi's service trade import and export volume reached $1.72 billion, an increase of 12.45 percent from last year. Travel services, computer and information services, and cultural and entertainment services grew by 35.7 percent, 23.7 percent, and 152.4 percent, respectively, indicating a robust development in Shanxi's service trade sector.

In the global services section, Shanxi enterprises showcased exemplary cases of their services reaching international markets, highlighting the prowess of Shanxi companies. Shanxi's digital trade enterprises presented various solutions in the digital trade section.

"At this year's CIFTIS, our company brings two systems – an early warning platform for mining meteorological disasters and a smart construction site system utilizing big data and AI analysis capabilities," said Zhao Yuqiang, technical director of Shanxi Future Digital Port Technology Co. Zhao hoped that the CIFTIS would help integrate AI technologies with various industries to enhance new quality productive forces across sectors.
