To promote image and brand of North China's Shanxi province, the "Shanxi Night" event was held at the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) that opened in Beijing on Sept 12.

"Shanxi Night" featured a blend of meetings, guest speeches, storytelling, a buffet reception, and exhibitions. The event was attended by representatives from key enterprises, business associations, and international organizations in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, along with officials from related departments and leaders from Shanxi's 11 cities.

The event showcased Shanxi's new image through a carefully curated storytelling session, cultural performances, a Shanxi-flavor buffet, and a series of exhibitions reflecting Shanxi's economic vitality and rich cultural heritage. These elements attracted guests' attention and deepened their understanding of Shanxi.

Key promotional boards highlighted Shanxi's integration into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, as well as its talent policies, service and trade, history and culture, scenic spots, and development of key industrial chains and specialized towns. Guests were invited to savor Shanxi's unique cuisine and participate in interactive product-making experiences.

During the signing ceremony, the Department of Commerce of Shanxi Province signed framework agreements with the commerce departments of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to deepen cooperation in the business sector.

"Shanxi Night" is becoming an important platform for opening-up, image presentation, and cooperation and exchanges. By utilizing the CIFTIS platform to host "Shanxi Night", Shanxi hopes to continually enhance its cooperation with Beijing.
