The China (Shanxi)-Turkiye Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference, organized by the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, convened on Sept 9 in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.

Representatives from over 20 provincial departments, enterprises, and organizations engaged in extensive discussions with counterparts from Turkiye's Anatolian Businessmen Association.

During the event, leaders from Shanxi enterprises and units, including Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Group, Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, and Shanxi Foundry Industry Association, presented their development status and industry strengths. They also expressed a willingness to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Turkish enterprises.

Wang Xiu, vice-president of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated that the discussions enhanced mutual understanding, clarified cooperation needs, and laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration.

The Turkish representative expressed keen interest in the development of Shanxi's foundry industry. He highlighted the potential for project and technical collaboration between Turkiye and Shanxi in this sector and pledged to facilitate substantial cooperation and foster a long-term stable partnership with Shanxi.

Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will host the 2024 Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road (Foundry Special Session) economic and trade exchange activities in Turkiye and Morocco in mid-September.
