Since its inception in 2021, the workshop has become a strategic platform for China and Europe to engage in dialogue on major policy issues related to energy transition and climate change. As the global energy transition accelerates towards decarbonization, both sides share similar goals for expanding new energy deployment, creating renewable energy grids, ensuring a just transition for coal mining areas, and promoting sustainable economic growth.

During the seminar, domestic and international guests delivered keynote speeches, offering insights into the cooperation and transformation of energy enterprises. Their discussions provided valuable suggestions for jointly addressing global climate challenges, promoting green economic recovery, and driving sustainable growth.

The workshop has established a high-end platform for knowledge sharing, technical exchange, and policy dialogue between China and Europe. It has also laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation and jointly tackling global climate change challenges. Participants expressed willingness to continue enhancing China-Europe exchanges and cooperation in energy and climate fields, and working together towards a cleaner, low-carbon future.
