The New Energy and Power Market Innovation and Development Conference and the 14th Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Forum were held on Sept 10 during the Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum (TELC) in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.

The Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau, China Energy News, and China Datang Corporation co-hosted the forum. It welcomed around 600 guests, including officials, experts, academic scholars, and industry and enterprise representatives from both domestic and international sectors.

During the event, several significant reports and findings were unveiled, such as the "2024 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Competitiveness Report", "2024 Chinese Enterprises' Contribution to Carbon Neutrality Research Report", and "2024 Dual Carbon Technology Innovation Cases", showcasing the evolving landscape of the global new energy industry.

The "Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises" selection is an influential and authoritative annual event globally. It serves as a crucial indicator for the development of the global new energy sector, selecting benchmark new energy enterprises and promoting sustained industry growth.

According to the 2024 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Competitiveness Report, among the 2024 Top 500 new energy enterprises, 255 Chinese companies are maintaining the same number as the previous year, constituting 51 percent of the total. Chinese enterprises dominate the top 20, with 12 companies making the list.

Meanwhile, the "2024 Chinese Enterprises' Contribution to Carbon Neutrality Research Report", the flagship report on corporate carbon neutrality contributions in China, highlights outstanding practices and innovative achievements in carbon footprint reduction and green transformation by Chinese enterprises.
