Shanxi seeks intl cooperation in green industry

The China (Shanxi) Green Industry Investment and Exchange Conference took place on Sept 10 in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.
As a special event of the 2024 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum (TELC), the conference gathered leaders of the world's top 500 companies from the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Iceland, and Spain. Also in attendance were the Zimbabwean delegation and representatives of business associations, international organizations, and renowned domestic enterprises.
Speakers from international institutes and enterprises shared insights on green and low-carbon fields. They discussed cutting-edge topics such as clean coal utilization, green transportation, and carbon footprint management, sharing advanced international green technologies and cooperation visions.
Shanxi enterprises, including Huayang New Material Technology Group Co and Shanxi Meijin Hydrogen Energy Technology Co, showcased their innovations and practical experiences in green coal mining and clean energy utilization.
The conference also featured a signing ceremony for key projects. Important agreements included a 500-megawatt photovoltaic project between Shanxi and Zimbabwe and a 300 MW wind power project between CNNC Huihai Wind Power Investment Co and Linxian county, Lyuliang city. A total of 23 major cooperation projects were signed, with a combined investment of 19.47 billion yuan ($2.74 billion).
These projects, characterized by significant investments and impactful technological innovations, cover various green and low-carbon industries, including new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, international logistics, the coal chemicals industry, and green agriculture.
