Shanxi promotes green manufacturing system
Updated: 2024-08-28
North China's Shanxi province has issued the Implementation Details for the Gradient Cultivation and Management of Green Factories to advance the development of a green manufacturing system.
This initiative aims to guide and support industrial enterprises' green and low-carbon development, establishing a standardized and long-term cultivation mechanism to foster leading forces in green manufacturing.
The document defines a green factory as an enterprise that achieves intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, resource recycling, and low-carbon energy. Green factories are the essential components of implementing green manufacturing.
Gradient cultivation of green factories involves establishing a two-dimensional cultivation mechanism – vertically, it forms a three-level linked national, provincial, and municipal mechanism; horizontally, it creates a mechanism where green industrial parks and green supply chain management enterprises drive the creation of green factories within the parks and along the supply chain.
The document emphasizes the establishment of a graded evaluation mechanism for green factory cultivation. The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province will organize experts or commission third-party institutions to conduct reviews of enterprise application materials, categorizing them into A, B, and C levels. Only those scoring B or above will be recommended for the national green manufacturing list.
Cities in the province are encouraged to formulate support and guidance policies for green manufacturing. The document also promotes the development of targeted policies to address issues encountered in the gradient cultivation process of green factories.
