The 2024 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum (TELC) will be held from Sept 10 to 11 in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province. This year's theme is Developing New Energy Productivity, Building a Clean and Beautiful World.
Emphasizing international collaboration and professional expertise, the forum will feature three major international conferences – the Mexico Guest Country Forum, the China-Europe Clean Energy Transformation International Symposium, and the 14th Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Forum. These events will facilitate in-depth discussions and practical cooperation across national, governmental, and corporate levels. The forum will be attended by ministerial officials, provincial leaders, ambassadors to China, and executives from international organizations and multinational corporations from 30 countries.
Five parallel forums will also be held, focusing on high-quality development within specific energy sectors. These forums will cover institutional mechanisms, technological breakthroughs, and the transformation of research outcomes. Renowned institutions like the International Renewable Energy Agency and the China Academy of Macroeconomic Research will host a series of activities. Leading enterprises such as GE, BP, and Huawei will cooperate deeply, while experts, academics, and leaders from various sectors will share new ideas and achievements.
The TELC will showcase the significant progress in China's new energy productivity over the past decade, driven by the "Four Revolutions and One Cooperation" energy security strategy. It will also highlight Shanxi's innovative practices as a pilot area for comprehensive energy reform. Key activities will include releasing new findings, authoritative reports, exemplary cases, and providing China's solutions for global energy transformation.
Furthermore, the forum will host events promoting innovation and high-quality technological exchange, as well as five major investment promotion events. These efforts aim to attract and implement key projects, critical technologies, and top talents from around the world, contributing China's efforts to the global energy transformation.
