Shanxi, Taiwan promotion event held in Taiyuan

The "2024 Shanxi Trip for Taiwan Merchants and Youth" special promotion event was held on Aug 21 in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province. It aimed to promote Shanxi-Taiwan industry cooperation and introduce internships and job opportunities for Taiwan youths.
The event highlighted Shanxi's key industries, consumer product development, and favorable policies for investors. Additionally, the Shanxi Provincial Employment Service Bureau showed its support for Taiwan youths seeking employment in the province, encouraging them to join the region's development and settle in Shanxi.
Organizers hoped the event would serve as a platform for Taiwan businesses and youths to explore investment opportunities and foster closer economic and cultural ties with Shanxi. They also encouraged young participants to visit Shanxi more frequently and actively interact with local youths.
Lai Cheng-Yi, chairman of the Taiwan chamber of commerce, noted the promising high-quality development in Shanxi and expressed the association's willingness to facilitate collaborations between Taiwan businesses and Shanxi's growing industries.
A university student from Taiwan, expressed her excitement for the trip, especially her visit to the Yan Emperor's Mausoleum and her upcoming plans to explore the Ancient City of Pingyao. She stated that she would return to Shanxi in the future.
This event marks an important step in strengthening economic and cultural ties between Shanxi and Taiwan. It offers promising opportunities for businesses and young individuals seeking to contribute to the region's development.
