In recent years, North China's Shanxi province has been increasing economic exchanges with Taiwan and improving the business environment for Taiwan enterprises. The goal is to attract Taiwan's high-quality industries, companies, and talents to contribute to Shanxi's development.

The 2024 "Taiwan Business and Youth Visit Shanxi" event is ongoing in the province from Aug 20 to 24. It will play a crucial role in promoting economic exchanges between Shanxi and Taiwan and strengthening Shanxi's efforts to build itself a new beacon for opening-up.

Shanxi has organized various economic exchange activities between Shanxi and Taiwan to expand channels for economic cooperation between the two regions. These activities are aimed at key industrial chains, characteristic professional towns, and cross-Straits industrial parks.

Shanxi is driving the high-quality development of the cross-Straits (Gaoping) Industrial Park by utilizing platforms like the cross-Straits exchange activities centered around Gaoping city, the hometown of the Yan Emperor. The province also conducts exchange activities at Taiwan youth innovation and entrepreneurship bases to foster their growth.

Shanxi's universities and enterprises will offer a range of internships and job opportunities to support Taiwan youth in Shanxi, including community services, rural vitalization, entrepreneurial incubation, and other practical activities.

The province ensures equal protection of the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan people and enterprises in accordance with laws and regulations, providing legal service centers for Taiwan people and enterprises that deliver high-quality legal services.
