Shanxi highlights investment promotion efforts
North China's Shanxi province has witnessed notable progress in investment promotion this year, leveraging various initiatives to attract new investment and drive economic growth.
The province has effectively utilized the "chain leader system" for key industries, while also promoting characteristic professional towns and advantaged investment strategies. These approaches have enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of investment promotion efforts.
Since the beginning of the year, Shanxi has hosted 11 provincial-level investment promotion events. Additionally, delegations from cities, counties, and development zones have engaged in investor outreach efforts in regions like the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region. These efforts have fostered connections with 746 companies, government departments, universities, research institutions, and industry associations, laying a solid foundation for future collaborations.
At the same time, Shanxi has actively participated in international trade exhibitions, including the Hannover Messe in Germany, to attract high-quality investment. The province's 81-square-meter exhibition area showcased products from 16 companies in various sectors, including new materials, new energy, synthetic biology, modern medicine and metallurgical casting.
Moreover, the Investment Promotion Bureau of Shanxi Province has established contact with 19 foreign chambers of commerce registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. By fostering communication and building relationships with these organizations, the province aims to attract foreign investment and promote the internationalization of local businesses.
