Shanxi unveils first batch of digital village pilot programs
Updated: 2024-08-16
A total of 15 towns and townships were recently selected among the first batch of digital village pilot programs in North China's Shanxi province. The chosen locations include Liudu township in Qingxu county, Nitun town in Yangqu county, Donghu township in Shenchi county, and Jiajiazhuang town in Fenyang city.
Launched earlier this year, the initiative aims to leverage digital technologies to promote agricultural and rural modernization, while also advancing rural development. The pilot programs will focus on upgrading digital infrastructure, fostering smart agriculture, exploring new digital economy and online cultural models, establishing innovative digital governance models, and enhancing public service efficiency.
The pilot areas will tailor their construction efforts around specified goals and tasks, considering local development foundations, conditions, resources, and development challenges. By adapting to local conditions and emphasizing practical results, the programs will ensure effective and systematic implementation.
Furthermore, the initiative will prioritize public feedback regarding digital rural construction and address pressing concerns through digital solutions.
