The Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road (Central Asia) 2024, organized by the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, was held from Aug 3 to 10.

A delegation led by relevant government officials, business representatives, and legal professionals visited Kazakhstan and Russia, engaging in promotional activities, business exchanges, trade talks, project matchmaking, and exhibitions.

In Kazakhstan, the delegation hosted the China (Shanxi) – Kazakhstan (Astana) Trade and Investment Promotion Conference and Trade Risk Response Exchange Conference. The two sides engaged in discussions regarding culture and tourism, intelligent manufacturing, and legal services. The delegation visited official institutions and business associations, establishing an intellectual property service station that provides legal services for Chinese enterprises operating in Kazakhstan.

In Russia, the delegation organized the China (Shanxi) – Russia (Saint Petersburg) Trade and Investment Promotion Conference and Trade Risk Response Exchange Conference. The two sides held in-depth discussions on culture and tourism, intelligent manufacturing, logistics and transportation, and legal services. During their visit, the delegation not only interacted with Russian officials and business associations but also engaged in negotiations with Russian legal and intellectual property institutions, signing cooperation agreements and establishing an intellectual property service station.

The delegation expressed that the event established a new channel for economic and trade exchanges involving Shanxi, Kazakhstan, and Russia, with Shanxi's achievements in energy, culture, tourism, and other industries effectively promoted. This lays a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation and win-win development between Shanxi and Central Asian countries.
