North China's Shanxi province recently released its "Construction Plan for Shanxi Innovation Valley", outlining the overall goals, construction layout, key tasks, and supporting measures for building a high-level innovation hub. This initiative will guide all 11 cities in Shanxi to build an innovation valley according to their specific conditions.

The plan underscores the province's commitment to technological innovation, with the previously announced three-year action plan and 26 policy measures already demonstrating Shanxi's dedication. The Shanxi innovation valley has already been launched in the cities of Taiyuan and Datong, and the new plan aims to establish it as a premier innovation platform across the province.

The valley will focus on attracting and integrating high-quality innovation resources, including universities, research institutions, and innovative enterprises. The goal is to create a platform characterized by comprehensive policies, diverse functions, open sharing, a strong talent pool, and sustainable development.

In terms of construction layout, the platform will prioritize development in provincial-level development zones and parks with a strong foundation in technological innovation, distinctive achievements in technological commercialization, and significant influence on surrounding regions.

The plan also outlines nine key tasks, including gathering various innovation entities and resources, establishing a professional, market-oriented operation institutions, strengthening the incubation and development of technology-based startups, and creating a favorable innovation ecosystem.
