Shanxi launches first 'PV Special Train'
In the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, a special rapid transport train loaded with 50 containers of photovoltaic (PV) modules departed from Zhongding Logistics Park for Qinghai province on Aug 1, marking the commencement of North China's Shanxi province's "PV Special Train" service.
The train, consisting of 50 40-foot containers, carried PV modules produced at the Shanxi base of Jinko Solar Co. It operated without stopping for the entire 1,700-kilometer journey, ultimately arriving at Delingha Railway Station in Qinghai, where the PV modules it carried will support the development and utilization of local clean energy technology.
Following the commencement of production at Jinko Solar's Shanxi base, Shanxi Zhongding Logistics Group Co promptly tailored a comprehensive logistics plan for the 50 containers of PV modules. Furthermore, it optimized road and railway transport plans and integrated transport fleets into Jinko Solar Smart Park's vehicle management system, ensuring the container loading process went smoothly and coordination throughout the transportation process remained seamless.
With the continuous increase in production capacity at Jinko Solar's Shanxi base, the railway department will strive to build a modern logistics operation system integrating corridors, hubs, and networks according to enterprises' logistics demands. This initiative will involve launching domestic express trains and intermodal rail-sea transport services as well as expanding end-to-end logistics services so as to increase logistics efficiency and effectively reduce logistics costs for enterprises.
