North China's Shanxi province recently issued a series of measures to promote the integration of advanced computing power and artificial intelligence (AI), specifically in terms of supporting the high-quality development of computing power, improving the application level of computing power, and promoting the development of large AI models.

The measures for supporting the high-quality development of computing power include eight specific actions, such as supporting the construction of intelligent computing centers, cloud service development, and the efficient and green development of computing resources. These actions will optimize Shanxi's computing power resource structure and improve the flexibility and efficiency of computing power scheduling.

Three specific measures will be implemented to improve the application level of computing power. They include issuing "computing power vouchers", supporting the external output of computing resources, and encouraging innovative applications of computing power in various industries. By focusing on the needs of different applications, the province will develop demonstration scenarios for computing power applications in key industries, realizing both the internal service and external output of computing resources.

Furthermore, three specific measures will be implemented to support the development of large AI models. These include supporting key technological breakthroughs in large models, promoting the industrial application of large models, and developing AI enterprises. By collaborating with universities, research institutions and enterprises, the province will conduct research and development on large models, aiming to discover technically advanced, effective and replicable industry-level solutions that can be widely applied in key industries across Shanxi.
