In recent years, the development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industrial chain in North China's Shanxi province has been accelerating, driven by leading enterprises on the industrial chain.

CRRC Datong Co, a leading player in Shanxi's high-end equipment sector, has adopted a new development model that promotes chain-based, cluster-based, and integrated development. The company is adhering to digitization, intelligence, and low-carbon development, and collaborating with upstream and downstream companies, universities, and research institutes on projects like new energy locomotives, scientific research, and material procurement. These efforts are helping to strengthen the company's alliances and benefiting all parties involved.

In addition to individual companies, cities across Shanxi are also stepping up their efforts to develop the high-end equipment manufacturing industrial chain.

The city of Lyuliang, for example, has adopted a model driven by industrial chains and professional towns, focusing on high-end, intelligent, green, clustered, and service-oriented development. The model is aimed at accelerating the growth, high-end transition, intelligent upgrade, and green transformation of the equipment manufacturing industry.

Currently, Lyuliang boasts 84 equipment manufacturing enterprises above designated size, including 14 leading companies with annual revenue exceeding 100 million yuan ($13.77 million). The companies' products mainly include coal machinery and accessories, mining machinery and components, automobiles and accessories, and solar cells.

Moreover, the Shanxi High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration Community was recently established in Taiyuan, aiming to strategically align the province's educational resources with its industrial layout.

Moving forward, this community will take full advantage of the leading enterprises in the province's high-end equipment manufacturing industrial chain to build a new model for integrating industry and education, as well as better contribute to the construction of a modern industrial system.
