Shanxi athletes ready to compete at Paris 2024 Olympic Games

With the official announcement of the Chinese delegation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on July 13, excitement is building for the seven athletes from North China's Shanxi province who will be representing China on the world stage.
Among the 405 athletes selected nationwide, Shanxi boasts a diverse group of competitors, including Zhao Nan, Zhou Zeqi, Hu Yicheng, Yang Chang, Yao Jie, Qian Haitao, and Wu Tongtong. These athletes will be competing in various disciplines, including shooting, taekwondo, trampoline, swimming, wrestling, basketball, and track and field.
Adding to the excitement, Shanxi will also be represented by taekwondo athlete Xiao Shunan in the mixed team demonstration event and basketball player Zhang Ning, who was trained by the Shanxi Fenjiu Professional Basketball Club and will compete in the 3×3 basketball competition.
For Yao Jie and Wu Tongtong, this will be their second time at the Olympics, while the remaining athletes will be making their Olympic debuts.
Shanxi's delegation also includes coach Cai Guangliang for trampoline, doctor and translator Su Xinxin for taekwondo, and judge Dong Jianguo for gymnastics.
The 33rd Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to Aug 11, 2024, featuring 329 sub-categories under 32 sports and 45 categories. The Chinese delegation will participate in 236 sub-categories.
