Treasures from Shenyang Imperial Palace unveiled at Shanxi Bronze Museum

An exhibition titled "Splendor of Shengjing: Treasures of Qing Court from the Shenyang Imperial Palace" kicked off at the Shanxi Bronze Museum in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province, on July 9, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the opulent lives of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
Divided into four sections – "Imperial Authority", "Imperial Attire", "Imperial Cuisine" and "Imperial Utensils" – the exhibition features over 100 artifacts, including porcelain, enamelware, garments, calligraphy, paintings, and weaponry.

"These precious relics authentically recreate a picture of the imperial court life of the Qing Dynasty, reflecting the societal development, traditional customs, and spiritual pursuits of the time," remarked Su Yang, deputy director of the Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum.
Carefully selected from the museum's vast collection, the displayed treasures represent different periods and cultural spheres within the Qing Dynasty. This exhibition allows visitors to experience the historical significance and cultural richness of the Qing Dynasty, while also fostering cultural exchange and mutual learning between the two regions.

The exhibition runs until Oct 13, offering ample time for visitors to immerse themselves in the splendor of Qing court culture. The Shanxi Bronze Museum will also host guided tours and classes during the exhibition, offering opportunities to further understand this fascinating period in Chinese history.
