The eight-day "2024 Love for Shanxi – Cross-Strait Cultural Exchange Event" is currently underway in North China's Shanxi province.
A total of 15 experts and scholars from Taiwan's cultural and creative design fields are currently visiting Jincheng and Gaoping to experience Shanxi's root-seeking culture, cultural relics, intangible cultural heritage, arts and crafts, and rural tourism.
The event is hosted by the China Friendship Association of Cultural Circles and organized by the Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province. It is the first event held under the "Love for China" brand using a small-team and professional innovation model.
On June 24, the visiting delegation visited the Wang Mang Ling Scenic Area, the Xuanya Water Town, and the Jincheng Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center to learn about the scenic areas' cultural and creative products and rural tourism development.
The delegation also visited Fushan Village, Suzhuang Village, and the Tsai Chih Chung Art Museum, learning about Jincheng's new development models for rural culture and tourism, characteristic homestays, and modern art and creative industries.
At a seminar, the delegation had an in-depth discussion with representatives from the Gaoping culture and tourism bureau and 13 local cultural and tourism enterprises on how to create innovative cultural and creative products based on local conditions and how to reshape tourism scenarios and promote product iteration.
