North China's Shanxi province held a special event to promote its equipment manufacturing products in Beijing at the 16th China Int'l Machinetool & Tools Exhibition (CIMES 2024) on June 17.

The province's exhibition area covers an area of 400 square meters and is themed on sustainability, intelligence, and innovation. It focuses on showcasing the development achievements of new quality force productivity in the province's machine tool industry, aiming to promote close cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain and promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure.

Ten enterprises in the province's machine tool industry have made appearances, bringing with them hundreds of products, including cutting tools, saw blades, hydraulic systems, diamond tools and more, attracting numerous domestic and foreign merchants and industry experts.

As a national pilot zone for comprehensive reform of resource-based economy transformation, the province's manufacturing industry has in recent years been moving towards digitization, networking, and intelligence by accelerating the updating and iteration of high-end CNC machine tools and industrial robots, intelligent sensing and control equipment, intelligent logistics and warehousing equipment, and other general equipment.

"The CIMES is a leading exhibition in the machine tool industry. We hope that enterprises in our province can have in-depth exchanges with excellent domestic peers and accelerate technological innovation based on their own respective circumstances, so as to help Shanxi's manufacturing industry achieve high-quality development," said Wang Xiu, vice president of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
