Shanxi to cultivate 106 general talents in cultural relic field

North China's Shanxi province will continue to train talents specializing in cultural relics this year.

Shanxi University will enroll 106 people specializing in cultural relics this year, who will be trained for free. The major is divided into two specialties – "archaeology" and "cultural relics and architecture". A total of 42 students will be enrolled in the archaeology specialty, while 64 will be enrolled in the cultural relics and architecture specialty.

The program is open to students from 76 cities, districts and counties in the province. Any high school graduate or vocational school graduate, including those from technical secondary schools, technical schools, and vocational high schools, who hopes to work in the eligible cultural relic protection institutions of cities, districts, counties and below after graduation, meets the requirements of 2024 college entrance examination, and is a registered resident of one of the 76 cities, districts and counties can apply for the examination.

The admission of cultural relic specialists to Shanxi University, as one of the first batch of A-class eligible universities, is based on the principle of score priority. Students from the cities, districts, and counties where the eligible institutions are located are selected based on the enrollment plan of each city, district and county according to their score rankings.
