Since the beginning of this year, North China's Shanxi province has been working to promote its cultural and tourism brands by continuously increasing its efforts to expand overseas markets, so as to accelerate its economic development and strengthen its opening-up to the rest of the world.

Specifically, to expand the influence of Shanxi's cultural and tourism industry, Shanxi's cultural and tourism promotional posters were launched on April 1 at the Jakarta high-speed railway station for a one and a half month exhibition. People can find information on Shanxi's cultural and tourism attractions by scanning the QR code.

In recent years, to build itself a new beacon of opening-up in China's inland areas, Shanxi has actively participated in the Belt and Road Initiative and made its development environment more open and inclusive. A total of 15 Shanxi-Europe railway routes are currently in regular operation, and in March, another train to Barcelona was launched to deepen cooperation between Shanxi and Spain.

Moving forward, Shanxi's cultural and tourism departments will continue to cement traditional sources of tourists such as Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, further expand the European and American markets, and explore potential markets like the Middle East and countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

In addition, the province will fully leverage channels and platforms such as international sister cities and the overseas agencies of culture and tourism departments to carry out overseas promotion and deepen international exchanges and cooperation.
