Shanxi gets fruitful results at new energy industry promotion conference in Changsha

A total of 23 major project agreements in North China's Shanxi province with a total investment of 23.58 billion yuan ($3.25 billion) were signed at the Central Region New Energy Industry Chain Promotion and Matchmaking Conference hosted by the Shanxi government in Changsha, Hunan province on May 31.
The conference aimed to take advantage of Expo Central China 2024 to explore the development prospects of the new energy industry and promote the development of Central China.
More than 300 guests attended the event, including officials from relevant government departments and development zones in the six central provinces as well as representatives from professional institutions, industrial associations, multinational corporations, relevant industrial chains, and enterprises in the field of new energy.
As the only comprehensive reform pilot province for the energy revolution in China, Shanxi has seen rapid growth in its new energy industry, with the revenue growth rate of industrial chains such as hydrogen energy, photovoltaic manufacturing, and wind power equipment rising significantly.
During the conference, guests were impressed by the province's rich energy resources, scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, investment and cooperation advantages, and achievements in energy transformation. They expressed their hope to strengthen cooperation with Shanxi in the construction of scientific and technological innovation talent teams and investment in key projects.
During the project signing section, a total of 23 major projects were signed into effect on site, involving industries such as wind power, photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, new energy storage, new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, and comprehensive utilization of waste resources.
