At the Shanxi exhibition area, the province's specialty food and beverage enterprises conducted on-site tasting activities, attracting multiple professional procurement teams for samplings and negotiations, with professional buyers also coming in a continuous stream.
"As soon as the exhibition started today, many merchants came to taste our wines. One of the liquor traders from Ningbo was interested in our newly developed fruit wines, which are made from apricots, tomatoes, and betel nuts," said Wang Jinxiang, chairman of Shanxi Silin Agricultural Development Co.
Wang Xiu, vice-president of Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the 2024 SIAL China, as one of the world's three major food exhibitions, gathered enterprises from throughout the entire food and beverage industrial chain and hoped to promote Shanxi's brands through this exhibition platform.
