North China's Shanxi province is showcasing the achievements of its cultural industries at the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center from May 23 to 27.

During this year's ICIF, Shanxi has set up four exhibition areas and two functional areas under the theme of "Inheriting Shanxi Culture and Carrying Forward the Chinese Culture".

The four exhibition areas involve the theme and image display, achievements in the cultural and tourism industry, achievements in cultural protection and inheritance, and excellent cultural enterprises.

The exhibition areas cover 756 square meters in total, with over 80 enterprises in the province exhibiting over 5,000 exhibits in more than 50 categories.

The exhibition area of theme and image display tells the story of the integration of ethnic groups in Datong during the Liao Dynasty (916-1125) and showcases the traditional brewing techniques of Shanxi aged vinegar and the wooden pagoda and carving models from Yingxian county.

The cultural and tourism industry achievement exhibition area showcases Shanxi's new achievements in the development of this industry through cultural and creative products, intangible cultural heritage, and health and wellness brands.

The exhibition area of cultural protection and inheritance achievements showcases cultural heritage resources with Shanxi characteristics, such as ancient architecture, painted sculptures, and murals via AR, VR and touch screens.

The excellent cultural enterprise exhibition area gathers 64 cultural enterprises in the province, covering sectors such as books, cultural and creative products, and iron art.

During the exhibition, the functional area for investment promotion will focus on promoting 242 investment projects in the province, covering media integration, cultural tourism, and health and wellness.
