A student career planning seminar, jointly organized by the Career Planning (Shanxi) Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and renowned universities, was recently held in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.
Experts and scholars from both inside and outside the province, as well as workers in the educational field, gathered together to be engaged in in-depth discussion on the innovative development path for student career planning in the new era.
Given the prevalent lack of clear understanding and direction among the high school students regarding their future career planning, experts at the seminar unanimously agreed that the fundamental task of all-round education in the new era is to respect each student, enabling them to develop comprehensively based on their interests and hobbies. This requires providing personalized educational guidance to each student.
Wu Kangjie, head of the data analysis department at the Career Planning (Shanxi) Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced that to assist more students in scientifically planning their future careers, the center has developed an artificial intelligence service platform which offers personalized academic planning consultations.
"Through an in-depth understanding of students' interests, strengths, and future goals, we utilize professional knowledge and unique perspectives to tailor academic planning solutions for students, helping them better understand themselves and unearth their potential," stated Li Zhigang, chief planning specialist at the center. Li continued on to state that so far the platform has successfully provided personalized academic and career planning solutions for thousands of students.
Next, the center will further integrate educational resources from within and outside the province. Through comprehensive online and offline services for students and parents, the center will provide all-round guidance to promote healthy psychological development, education, and academic and career planning.
