A promotion event for agricultural scenic spots was held in Yuxian county, Yangquan, North China's Shanxi province, on April 28, unveiling a total of 19 routes and 90 scenic spots in an effort to boost consumption in rural areas.

Shanxi boasts an abundance of natural, historical, and cultural attractions, providing unique advantages for the development of rural tourism. Since 2019, the province has organized promotional events for high-quality agricultural scenic spots every year, unveiling a total of 93 tourism routes and 452 high-quality scenic spots. 

Among them, 28 routes have been selected as national high-quality routes for leisure agriculture and rural tourism. Six counties have been recognized as national key counties for leisure agriculture. A total of 64 villages have been rated as beautiful leisure villages in China.

The 19 selected routes and 90 scenic spots include agricultural parks, picturesque villages, family farms, and natural landscapes. These routes feature pastoral scenery, farming experiences, local delicacies, folk customs, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and festive activities, aiming to enhance the preservation of agricultural culture and promote agricultural science.
