North China's Shanxi province is fully committed to enhancing 5G coverage and digital platform construction in key tourist areas, so as to drive the intelligent transformation and upgrading of its cultural and tourism industries.
Since 2010, the Xinzhou branch of China Mobile Shanxi Co has successively established and opened 11 4G base stations and three 5G macro stations in the Yanmen Pass scenic area, and achieved 5G coverage in major tourist attractions in Xinzhou city.
At the same time, the Xinzhou branch has collaborated with other scenic areas to develop applications, such as the 5G intelligent wireless management cloud platform for visitor centers, scenic area video surveillance platform, 5G big data analytics platform, and scenic area marketing service platform. These applications not only make managing these scenic areas more efficient, but also offer more convenient services for tourists.
"5G networks facilitate tourists to share their travel experiences, while also promoting applications such as automatic guidance, intelligent monitoring, safety precautions, and smart dining within the scenic area, thus constructing a smart tourism ecosystem," said Yang Lizhong, director of the engineering and construction department of the Xinzhou branch.
The application of technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence has become a new driving force for the high-quality development of the tourism industry.
A staff member from China Mobile Shanxi Co stated that they are also giving full play to 5G and other technologies to construct a smart cultural and tourism system. In the Wooden Sakyamuni Pagoda scenic area in Yingxian county, the company has established seven 5G stations, providing 5G signal coverage within a one-kilometer radius of the scenic area.
