The first phase of Jinko Solar Co's photovoltaic vertical integration mega base project was put into operation on March 26 in the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, located in North China's Shanxi province.

This project represents the largest single investment in the province in recent years, with a total investment of about 56 billion yuan ($7.75 billion). The project aims to create the world's first, largest, and most efficient photovoltaic industry vertical-integration "super digital factory".

It integrates the automation of crystal pulling, wafer slicing, cell production, and module assembly, while simultaneously advancing engineering construction and technological innovation, resulting in a series of breakthrough achievements. 

Since the contract was signed in May 2023, the project achieved its groundbreaking, topping out, and commenced operation in about six months.
