On March 12, Liang Shujuan, member of the Party group and deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shanxi Province, met with a South Korean delegation led by Song Seon-yong, a counselor at the South Korean Embassy in China.
Liang briefly introduced the social and economic development of Shanxi province to the South Korean guests. She mentioned that Shanxi and the South Korean Embassy in China have collaborated for many years, successfully organizing major events such as the China-South Korea Local Government Symposium and the exchange program for K2H visiting scholars to South Korea.
These activities have played a positive and far-reaching role in enhancing the friendship between China and South Korea, as they promote practical cooperation at the local level.
Currently, the entire province is coordinating efforts to promote the transformation and upgrading of its traditional industries, nurture the growth of emerging industries, and accelerate the establishment of a new highland for opening-up. With this in mind, Liang expressed her hope that Shanxi and the South Korean Embassy will continue to further advance cooperation.
Song praised Shanxi's development progress and expressed that the South Korean Embassy in China will actively leverage its advantages to provide support and assistance for the all-around development of both regions.
During their visit to Shanxi, Song and his delegation also visited the ancient city of Pingyao and exchanged views with representatives from Gemeng International Ruiguang Heat & Power Co.
