Shanxi seizes victory in national super-g slalom event

North China's Shanxi province swept the gold, silver, and bronze medals in the open women's super-giant slalom event of the 14th National Winter Games, which took place on Jan 31 in Beijing.

On the 495-meter vertical drop course, athletes Zhu Tianhui, Ni Yueming, and Zhang Yuying, who were all jointly trained by Shanxi and Heilongjiang provinces, continued to showcase their skills in the downhill and combined events. 

They respectively secured first, second, and third places in the super-giant slalom event with times of 1 min 13.06 sec, 1: 13.09, and 1:13.64. 

In the subsequent open men's super-giant slalom event, Shanxi athlete Liu Juntong achieved 7th place with a time of 1 min 11.45 sec.
