Shanxi to further reform and opening-up in 2024

Shanxi province will further reform and opening-up in 2024 to boost local socioeconomic development, according to the annual provincial government work report announced on Jan 23.
It will take measures in six areas, including enhancing the quality and effectiveness of fiscal and financial reforms, deepening the reform and development of development zones, expanding opening-up to the outside world, and creating a first-class business environment.
It will apply to establish a pilot free trade zone and finish setting up the China (Shanxi) International Trade Single Window, enhance the functions of comprehensive bonded zones, airports, international land ports, and overseas warehouses, and complete the expansion and upgrading of the Taiyuan International Mail Exchange Bureau. More China-Europe freight trains and international air transport routes will be launched as well.
The province will also expand the coverage of self-service administrative service sites in all sub-districts and 70 percent of townships, integrate online administrative service platforms, and promote a one-stop comprehensive service platform for enterprise-related policies.
In addition, it will improve the mechanism for entrepreneurs to participate in the formulation of enterprise-related policies, review and abolish regulations and systems that negatively impact fair competition, and carry out evaluations of the business environment among private enterprises.
