The 2024 Shanxi provincial two sessions, the biggest annual political events in North China's Shanxi province, will be held in late January. 

The 2nd session of the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will start on Jan 22. This was decided at the 18th Chairman's Meeting of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Provincial Committee. 

The 2nd session of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress will commence on Jan 23. This was announced by the Standing Committee of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress on Jan 9.
