The Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau hosted an investment project matchmaking meeting in Beijing on Jan 10. 

The event aimed to deepen the exchange and cooperation between Shanxi province and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in key industries, such as digital economy, electronic technology, and biopharmaceuticals. The event also strives to enhance the development of key industrial chains in Shanxi.

Major officials from the Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, the Xinzhou Economic Development Zone's management committee, and the Yuncheng Economic Development Zone's Investment Promotion Center, provided specific introductions on Shanxi's resources, advantages, industrial support, and policies.

Representatives from 18 key enterprises in various industries from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region had in-depth exchanges and participated in matchmaking activities with the investment promotion departments of Xinzhou, Changzhi, Yuncheng, as well as some representatives from Shanxi's development zones and related enterprises. 

During the meeting, Liu Wei, deputy director of the Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau; and Du Shaojun, executive director of the Beijing-Shanxi Electronic Information Industry Collaborative Innovation Center, jointly unveiled the alumni investment and talent attraction base.

The Beijing-Shanxi Electronic Information Industry Collaborative Innovation Center is a high-quality platform for introducing technological innovation resources to Shanxi. 

According to Du, the center has achieved good results and has reached a market value of 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) over the last two years of operation. The center aims to build a faster channel to facilitate the rapid settlement of high-tech enterprises and talents from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in Shanxi, thereby adding value and empowering local enterprises.
