Despite the low temperatures in early winter in North China, farmers in Beiwangma village of Xinjiang county, Shanxi province, are happy to welcome another harvest season of their Sichuan peppers.

They are busy harvesting the red peppers hanging on the branches, then sorting, drying, processing and selling them.

In recent years, the county has developed its Sichuan pepper farming, creating an advantage industry to help farmers increase their incomes and realize rural revitalization.
