The 7th Shanxi (Yuncheng) International Fruit Trade Expo concluded in Yuncheng, North China's Shanxi province, on Oct 30.

Some 870 enterprises attended the eight-day expo, showcasing over 100 types of branded fruits and agricultural products at the main venue in Yuncheng, as well as at two sub-venues in Linyi and Wanrong counties. 

The itinerary featured 20 activities, including live-streaming sessions with internet celebrities and well-known e-commerce influencers. A total of 79 projects were signed, amounting to a total contract value of 6.9 billion yuan ($943.19 million). 

The well-arranged exhibition halls and diverse activities attracted large crowds, with nearly 300,000 people visiting the event to browse and make purchases. Six counties and districts in the city were awarded the title of "National Counties (County-level Cities) for High-quality Development of Fruit Industry" by the China Fruit Marketing Association. Yuncheng was also designated as a direct procurement base for fruits by Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Products Group. 

During this expo, the newly launched "Jinnan Apple Industry Cluster Big Data Public Application Service System" and the Linyi "Fruit Industry Brain" digital platform added over 700 new users and saw more than 360,000 clicks. 

The platforms have served as information bridges between the government and the market, fruit traders and enterprises, providing comprehensive industry chain data and information services for the high-quality development of the fruit industry in Shanxi province.
