Shanxi province saw strong growth in business entities with 688,000 newly registered entities from January to September, according to an announcement at a press conference by the Shanxi Provincial Government on Oct 10. 

As of the end of September, the total number of business entities in the province was 4.29 million, including 1.18 million enterprises.

The number of tax-related business entities reached 2.11 million, a year-on-year increase of 22.69 percent. 

Next, the province will focus on the development of rural e-commerce theme towns, cultural tourism, healthcare and wellness, high-level innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, and leading agricultural enterprises. 

It will create distinctive tourism and leisure blocks and nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters, and promote the integrated development of the cultural tourism, healthcare and wellness industries. 

Efforts will be made to build a complete chain for innovation and an entrepreneurship cultivation system consisting of incubators, accelerators, industrial parks and entrepreneurship nurseries. 

To expand leading agricultural enterprises, Shanxi will form an integrated development system of chain-leading enterprises, cooperatives, family farms, and small-scale farmers.
