Shuozhou, one of the host cities for the 16th Games of Shanxi Province, is enhancing its urban environment ahead of the opening ceremony on Aug 8 of the highly anticipated event. 

As the venue for the closing ceremony, Shuozhou Stadium has recently undergone improvements in terms of environmental hygiene, garden maintenance, and facility upkeep, to create a beautiful and clean-looking urban landscape. 

Shuozhou plans to install about 156,000 flowers spanning 1,300 square meters in front of the stadium, as well as set up mascots and slogan installations along nearby roads. 

The planned upgrade is expected to be completed by Aug 3.
