The 2023 Shanxi-Russia Enterprise Project Matchmaking Conference was held on July 27 both online and offline in Jinzhong in North China's Shanxi province, and Moscow, Russia.

The event jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi provincial government, the Shanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the All-Russian Jinshang Chamber of Commerce was to promote the high-quality development of China-Russia economic and trade cooperation.

About 100 representatives from 33 Russian institutions and Shanxi-based enterprises attended the conference offline. Some 200 representatives from 11 government agencies, industrial and enterprise institutions from Shanxi and Russia participated online, with eight enterprises from both sides carrying out online exchanges and project recommendations. 

Li Yue'e, president of the Shanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, emphasized that China and Russia are friendly neighbors. Li also invited individuals, enterprises and institutions in Russia to learn more about Shanxi and seek cooperation with local enterprises and government, and encouraged Shanxi enterprises to expand their global market.
