Provincial trampoline event concludes in Datong

The trampoline event of the 16th Games of Shanxi Province concluded in Datong, North China's Shanxi province, on July 20. 

The competition was divided into three groups, A, B, and C. Group A featured individual and team events for boys and girls aged 15-16; Group B included individual, synchronized, and team events for boys and girls aged 13-14 and 11-12; and Group C consisted of individual, synchronized, team, and mini-trampoline group events for boys and girls aged 9-10 and below 8. 

A total of 153 athletes, coaches, and team leaders from the cities of Taiyuan, Datong, Changzhi, Yangquan, and Yuncheng participated in the event. After fierce competition, the team from Taiyuan demonstrated its outstanding strength and ranked first in terms of the number of gold medals pocketed as well as the overall score, while the Yangquan team was a close runner-up.

Established in 1997, the provincial trampoline team of Shanxi has achieved remarkable results on both domestic and international stages. 

As the highest-level competition for the sport among young people in the province, the trampoline event of the 16th Games of Shanxi Province provides a comprehensive review and concentrated display of the athletic level of youth athletes in the province. It also serves as a starting point for many young talents to progress to the next stage.
