A parliamentarian delegation from Pakistan led by Mushahid Hussain Syed, chairman of the Pakistani Senate's Defense Committee, visited North China's Shanxi province on July 9-12.

During the visit, the delegation visited the cities of Taiyuan and Jincheng, learning about local history, culture, and development. 

Mushahid Hussain Syed expressed his intention to actively promote Shanxi to the government and people of Pakistan, and to further enhance cooperation and exchanges in areas such as energy, agriculture, sister cities, traditional Chinese medicine, and tourism.
